New adventure
The new adventure starts in 2021 at Hoeve de Kromschutten.
We are moving from the "big city" to Esbeek.
Super excited and proud
that we can live in such a beautiful place.
And even more fun that we can now share this place with others.
With my background in cheese, it was of course great fun that cheese was once made here.
The previous residents called the outbuilding Cheese House and we will of course keep this name.
A piece of Kromschutten history, but also a precious memory for me.

The paths on the avenues in
Walking with Mini is the most fun. In the woods, along the Reusel river, or through the meadows. She's a real sniffer; following trails is her biggest hobby. And I enjoy the peace and quiet and the natural surroundings. For a few years now, I've been a volunteer with the Bonte Spechten (Spotted Woodpeckers), a wonderful group of people who help maintain the estate. This way, I get to know the area even better, and it's a lot of fun.

Not just our home
We have a huge garden, where nature is given free rein. We prefer native or organic plants and mixed hedges. We deliberately choose host plants to attract as many insects as possible. There are already some permanent residents in the garden; starlings return to nest in the same spots every year. The robins have their own territory, which they defend vigorously. In spring, you can hear the frogs, and in midsummer, you can enjoy the crickets. In the meadow at the front, you not only see a beautiful sunset, but every spring, the lapwings arrive to breed there. We still dream of a vegetable garden with a greenhouse, where we can grow and harvest organic vegetables for ourselves and for our guests.
